Suspend Your beliefs
I was in a training exercise today with my tennis teacher Claudette. She is a wonderful tennis coach and an incredible human being. We are so fortunate to have her here in Sedona. During our training today, we both made statements that were limiting about our tennis play. I shared with her that it would be helpful if she suspended her belief and not soon after, she got to remind me as well.
Our beliefs create our reality here on Earth, and probably elsewhere too. What we believe is what we perceive. What we believe is what we create; there is no other law. We are unlimited beings of eternal spirit. Terry Cole-Whittaker tells us:
The biggest lie is that we are born, continue for a while, and then die, when there is no possibility of death given we are life, existence, and eternity. Another lie is; you cannot trust yourself, but all you can trust is your inner guidance and God within.
The mind is the greatest terrorist weapon ever invented and not qualified to guide or control any one. Learning to control, direct the mind, and meditate are most important or one suffers continuously from self-abuse, confusion, and unworthiness.
We all have beliefs that do not serve our highest good. Even a simple thing like hitting a tennis ball requires that we suspend any belief we might have that will not support us in doing it well. We make statements like; things are going to be challenging or difficult. And we are usually right. We get what we believe. I think it is important to say, that if we just think a thought or say a word casually, it may not be a belief. However, when we attach our feelings to our thoughts they become powerful creators.
Let us take time to sit and write some of our beliefs. Then, let us suspend those that don’t serve us. It is easy to see what we believe. We can take a look at what we have created in our lives and know this is the evidence of our beliefs. I wish you all, the success of discovering what you believe and creating the best possible results in your life. From my “expanded beliefs” heart to yours, Thomas
