The Mirror
Lou Ann asked me to share a blog from a year ago. Many of you may have missed it!
The Mirror Principle
Universal principle #9
Everything we see and feel is a reflection of the state of our own consciousness. Every person we attract into our lives is showing us a perception we hold about ourselves. Every feeling expressed by another, mirrors a feeling deep within us. This reflection is a gift, for it allows us to be aware of the beliefs we hold, and the ways we have blocked the free flow of Divine Love through us.
In the series of experiences that make up our life there can be time for reflection about the whole purpose of it. We are so busy in doing, that we have little time for being, which is after all what we are: human beings not human doings. Many of us stick to the script; we see life as a one time event of some four score and two and then hope there is an afterlife. Then what? Perhaps if we played our hand right, we get a heavenly home, if not, a horrible fate. Then there is the possibility that we are here many, many times before exiting stage left. If we are eternal souls who have a consciousness that endures in some form, then why not keep coming back?
The gospel means “good news.” Good is a judgment. The good news is, we are here and experiencing life. However, the planet is a mess. The human inhabitants use up its natural resources and even kill each other a lot. John Denver was frustrated by what he observed as he traveled all over the globe entertaining others. There is a lot of angst in his lyrics about a world that he so loves and how we all are abusing it and its travelers. He cries out in his song “Let us begin”, “What are we still making weapons for?” He pointed out the plight of children in his soulful “I want to live.” I encourage you to go to You Tube and listen to those songs.
The Earth is a reflection of who we all are. Right now we are not doing such a good job of caring for our planet. It is up to each of us while we are here to do all we can to nurture and love our amazing planetary home. Recycle, become sustainable, treat everything as sacred, because it is. So before our own journey to our spiritual home, let’s make this one the best ever! From my reflective heart to yours, Thomas
