Saturn Return
In the early seventies I became a professional astrologer. I did it for several years and had some wonderful experiences. There is an aspect of Astrology that is important to discuss. When we are born, the planets in our solar system are in a position which is called our natal horoscope. There are ten planets including Earth (third rock from the sun). The planet Saturn, is the sixth planet from the sun. It takes Saturn 28-30 years to complete its orbit around the sun and through the Zodiac. It is masculine energy and rules both Capricorn and Aquarius, and the Tenth and Eleventh Houses.
The orbit of 28-30 years is significant. When we arrive at the age of twenty eight to thirty in our life, we often get tested in a variety of ways. Saturn doesn’t make things easy. That’s the role of the taskmaster of the zodiac. Saturn commands us to get to work and to work hard. Discipline and responsibility are important to this planet, yet if we’re eager to conquer the world, that’s okay, too. People often change jobs, relationships, get divorced, get married, move to another place. Our spirit is encouraging to check in with our life purpose. Our astrology chart is a road map of our life. It gives us directions on how to succeed at what our soul wants to accomplish. We often get off track and Saturn is there to remind us of our mission. This is the Saturn return.
The Zodiac has twelve houses in it. Each one represents two years time. Saturn takes about 2.4 years to pass through each house which is ruled by one of the twelve signs of the Zodiac. When Saturn transits the Zodiac it creates reminders to our souls, by creating energy to which we respond. Often the lessons seem to be difficult. They can be challenging, because we resist our agreement with our soul, that we made prior to incarnation. The twelve houses of the Zodiac are the areas of our life that father Saturn shares his reminders. So each person’s chart is in position to allow us to succeed with our soul’s mission.
If you are near 28, 56, 84 you will be awakened to how you are doing. It is then that we can glance at our natal road map and stay on our personal interstate highway or perhaps take a detour or two. As in other decisions in life they are all perfect and on purpose, that’s the way we designed it! Safe travels, from my exploring heart to yours, Thomas
