The Means and Ends are Identical
I learned this Universal Principle about thirty five years ago from one of my greatest spiritual mentors Arnold Patent.
Means and ends are the same. The action and outcome are one. To achieve peace, we feel and express inner peacefulness. To enjoy a life that works perfectly, we see and feel the perfection of everything and everyone, including our Selves. To experience the natural abundance of the Universe, we feel and express gratitude for the abundance we already have. A simple concept that is sometimes hard to navigate.
When I attended the Black Star movie yesterday; I shared that I had found their movie while sourcing for this years festival. It brought tears to my eyes and sadness to my heart to see so many young lives cut short by addiction. When the movie was over, the director and producer met me on the red carpet and had pictures taken with me. Then they gave me an original Black Star piece of art work as a gift. I was overwhelmed with gratitude. Also when I met the visual artist Jim Hansel and shared with him that my daughter and youngest son both had Stargardt disease. This is an eye affliction that blocks the pupil and you can only see peripherally. You are legally blind. Then Jim gave me his business card and said that the Mayo Clinic was having experiential trials of some new kind of medicine that would slow down the progress of the disease. So that I could share this information with my children.
So my efforts of finding films for our festival created meeting three loving, giving men who shared with me. It seems to work this way a lot. When we simply take actions from a prosperous and loving place inside us, Universe responds. The action and outcome are one! From my very grateful heart to yours, Thomas
