Fruits of Our Labors
We were watching an old demo tape of the Positive Place Television Talk Show from 1997 with a filmmaker, who may help us make our show. We filmed three segments back then. The first was right here in Sedona with the marvelous musician and singer Carl Anthony. He led a group of children singing songs about loving themselves. The second segment was filmed at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab Utah. Their facility had rescued 1500 animals from all over the world. Lou Ann did a wonderful segment, celebrating the animals. At the time, Best Friends rescued any animal that was homeless or needed care and love. The third segment was an interview with Larry Tucker, who was nominated for four academy awards for his work on Bob, Ted, Carol and Alice. He and his wife Marilyn were madly in love and Larry was bedridden at the time. He said his definition of true love was when the reality of the relationship was better than the fantasy!
I read a Facebook post of a local young woman who is moving into her own apartment with her toddler. She has no furniture or any household goods of any kind. Within a short period of time a couple of dozen people responded on line. They were giving them a dinette set, a bed, clothing, food, pots and pans, silverware and practically everything they would need to set up a home. I had tears in my eyes and was thrilled how kind folks will step up when others are in need. We do have good hearts that really shine when it counts! I also realized, that this would be the kind of a feel good story that our new TV show would feature. Life never fails to surprise and amaze me! I invite you to share inspiring stories with us that you know and perhaps we can put them on our show in the future! From my wide open heart to yours, Thomas
