Success
A measure of a person’s success, is not what they accumulate. It may be who they get to share it with! That was the theme of my favorite movie; It’s A Wonderful Life! I remember a sign I used to read on people’s cars that said ” He who dies with the most toys, wins!” I couldn’t disagree more. For me, the things that have been the greatest gifts are the smiles on my families and loved ones faces. The hugs we all gave each other. The kind words we shared together. The silent moments we spent together. Those are the successes I would love us to celebrate!
Rob Siltanen the advertising genius said this: “Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
Let us be the crazy ones. Let us be outrageous and push the human race forward. Let us celebrate each day by doing all we can to change the world in a better way. Let us have a sign on our cars that says she/he who cared, gave, loved, included, shared and hugged the most, won! From my successful heart to yours, Thomas
