World Kindness Day
Life can be challenging in today’s world. So many folks have to work more than one job to make ends meet. So many people don’t have enough shelter, enough food, enough care, or enough love. Sometimes it feels overwhelming to find ways to make a positive difference in our society.
A simple way to make a difference is to be kind. Open a door for someone. Pay for someone’s meal or coffee. Let others in traffic. Give out hugs. Let our smiles shine. Walk someone’s dog. Mow someone’s lawn. Rake someone’s leaves. Shovel someone’s snow. Give someone a ride to work. Cook someone a meal. Sing someone a song. Hold someone’s hand. Empty someone’s trash. Send someone an encouraging text. Send someone a love or heart Moji. Find someone and have a chat. Find someone and listen to their story.
Let us also be kind to ourselves. Give our selves a treat of getting a massage, going to a movie, taking a walk, taking a nap, calling our family, reading a good book, enjoying a scrumptious dessert, ask for what we want, speak our truth, share our vision, take a hot bath, smile at ourselves in the mirror.
There are probably unlimited ways in which we can be kind to each other and ourselves. You will never regret being kind!
