Illumination
Lou Ann and I attended another wonderful Illuminate Film Festival team meeting this evening. It is such an honor to be with a group of committed people who want to make a difference in this world. Just like the Veg Fest folks last weekend, only a different venue. Cinema is such a powerful force in our lives. There are iconic films that I still remember the first time I saw them and who I was with at the time. I remember as far back as 1943, soon after my parents moved to Hollywood and seeing Lassie Come Home at the Pantages theater. And movies also get to be a voice for those of us who don’t have that ability. Those are the kinds of films that often appear at our festival.
We are in the process of finding films for our next festival that will happen in the first week of June this year. Our team previews some 500 movies before we pick just 22. This is an invitation to anyone reading this blog to connect with me if you know of a new inspirational movie that is in production. We need to preview it by February 22nd to include it in this year’s event. We are always looking for a wonderful idea to share with our audiences. Also, if you want to be on the awesome Illuminate team, just go to our website and find the how to get involved tab. We would love to have you, if you have the desire to make a difference through conscious cinema. From my cinematic heart to yours, Thomas
