Take Time to Vote
I have heard it said “to vote your political party,” I have heard it said “to vote your pocketbook.” I am initiating a new voting phrase; ” vote your children and grandchildren.” Our planet is in trouble and the past several generations have done much of the destruction. We have created two major problems in the past hundred years. One is pollution of our sacred Earth. The other is that many of us have mostly thought of our own prosperity. We have left billions in poverty. This abject poverty has probably been the major factor in so many wars and so many deaths by violence and disease.
We have shared on this post many times about simple things that all of us can do to delay climate change. Here is another list:

The second part of saving our planet is creating prosperity for all. When folks have enough food, water and shelter, they find more room for expressing their love. Right now there are some alarming statistics about the amount of abundance owned by a small percentage of us. The richest one per cent own more than the bottom ninety nine per cent. I am not here to denigrate wealth in any way. I desire for all beings to live in luxury, if they so choose. Here in the United States and other democracies, we the people (ninety nine per cent) can create the society we desire. One that educates, nurtures, feeds, and inspires. We have the votes to do so.
Once again, this is not us against them. We are all in this together. This is the one hundred per cent agreeing, that all may live in abundance, peace and happiness. Regardless of your political party. Please vote for candidates that will enact policies which create a vibrant loving Earth for our children and grand children and their children. We are the only ones who can do it! More than one hundred million eligible voters do not vote. I know that politics doesn’t seem pleasant, and is sometimes downright awful! However, if our children were going to somehow be injured, would we do everything possible to protect them? I believe most of us would say a resounding YES!
The pundits say that this upcoming election may be the most important ever. This is mostly because we have created a polarized society and the stakes seem very high! I believe it is the most important election because the one per cent and the ninety nine per cent can cast ballots to save the planet, feed the hungry, educate our children, nurture the lost, love the lonely and care for the elderly.
