Heart to Heart 494 One Human Family

Posted on October 24, 2018

One Human Family

I am on Facebook every evening before I write my blog.  It is exciting to see all of the things that are going on in this world.  There are so many people giving of their time and talent and resources.  It is easy to get depressed if you live in the United States.  However, around the globe and yes even in the U.S. folks are sharing their love in so many ways.  I get to see blogs and posts and videos of miraculous events.  So many children are also doing wondrous acts of service.  And often, the animals steal the show.  Children and animals get millions of views. W.C. Fields once was to have said: “never work with children or animals, they will always upstage you!” He was right!!

There are a lot of criticisms of Facebook.  However, it is a wonderful place to explore and find out what others are doing about our current crises on planet Earth.  I share a lot of these on my Facebook page.  I hope you will not only look at them and like them but also follow the folks who share these inspiring posts. We need each other more than ever. This is the time for us to recreate hope.  Remember the lyrics of “Cockeyed Optimist?  Here are the lyrics:

“A Cock-Eyed Optimist”

When the skies a bright canary yellow
I forget ev’ry cloud I’ve ever seen,
So they called me a cockeyed optimist
Immature and incurably green.

I have heard people rant and rave and bellow
That we’re done and we might as well be dead,
But I’m only a cockeyed optimist
And I can’t get it into my head.

I hear the human race
Is fallin’ on its face
And hasn’t very far to go,
But ev’ry whippoorwill
Is sellin’ me a bill,
And tellin’ me it just ain’t so.

I could say life is just a bowl of Jello
And appear more intelligent and smart,
But I’m stuck like a dope
With a thing called hope,
And I can’t get it out of my heart!
Not this heart

Let us be One human race that has a heart so big that nothing will break it.  From my unbreakable heart to yours, Thomas
