The soul of a Fairy, the hide of a Rhinoceros
We were speaking to a couple of wonderful beings of light about writing and performing for our upcoming television show. They have decades of experience in the entertainment field. One shared, that in this business, it is helpful to have the soul of a fairy and the hide of a rhinoceros.
I wonder if that applies in all of life? We live in troubled times, where there is so much polarization of folks. I see people who I have known always as gentle and caring; come unglued about certain events taking place right now.
And I can hardly blame them. I mostly look at things from the perspective of the fairies’ heart. It feels like so many of us have developed the rhino hide. This is not to find fault or blame about either position. Simply to find the place that serves the highest good of all living creatures.
Perhaps a balance of the two? I love thinking the best about life and all of it’s amazing creatures. I believe it serves us well. Maybe having a hide of a rhino is not only protective but it can help heal a situation.
The hide of a rhino is nearly in-penetrable. It may not even feel things cast towards it – like arrows (physical or non-physical)! When this occurs, we can keep our gentle loving countenance. When we don’t feel threatened, we can continue to come from our heart and bring healing to the situation.
The purpose of The Positive Place is to find the Divine center and live from there.
It might be helpful, if we heed the suggestion of this wonderful woman and keep a fairy heart, while our rhino hide keeps us in a safe loving place where all of us will thrive! From my fairy heart to yours, Thomas
