Leave Nothing Undone
I have quit a lot of things in my life. I have made choices that made others sad. I have not done things I wish I had. Life is short. Sometimes we only get one chance to do something or say something, that can have a profound loving effect on someone.
If there are people in your life that you love, call them up and tell them so. This time, don’t text it, let them hear the love in your voice. If there are folks that for some reason, you chose to do something that hurt them in some way, let them know.
We all want to be loved. We all want to know we matter. We could always use more encouragement, support, honesty and care. Most of us love to be touched. Find someone to hug. Find someone to walk with while holding their hand.
If you owe a personal debt to someone, find a way to repay it. If you have left anything undone, that feels like it could be completed, find a way. Find strangers to smile at. Find folks to wave to. Tip your postal delivery person. Leave a bigger tip at your restaurant then ever before.
On a personal level, find ways to love yourself. It might be reading a book. It might be refusing desert. It might be seeking medical assistance. It might be calling your kids, having dinner with friends or taking a walk in the moonlight.
It is when we give, that we feel most alive, whether to others or ourselves. Take time in your life to leave nothing undone that matters to you. Then your life will feel fulfilled. Please do it now, because we always think we have another day. From my tender heart to yours, Thomas
