Self Talk
I saw this on a Facebook post. ” Speak to your children as if they are the wisest, kindest, most beautiful and magical humans on Earth, for what they believe, is what they will become!” I couldn’t agree more. However, I thought, you know, all of us have within us our inner child. It is the part of us that still has wonder and still believes in magic. Here is the definition of the inner child. “Each of us has a child residing deep inside us, one that is a direct descendant of the child we once were. This inner child is with us at all times and shows up here and there when we least expect it.”
When we are feeling tired and defeated and worn out, it is time to access our inner child. Somewhat like the ho’o pono pono prayer we can remind our self ” I love you, I hear you, I thank you, I forgive you, I am sorry.” Somehow, our grownup self got so deep in the daily illusion of life that a spark went out. That light inside that was so bright when we were children, doesn’t ever go out. The inner child is the eternal connection with all that is wonderful about life. Please take time to speak with it. Then take it and your older self on adventures of the body, mind and soul. Your inner and outer light will shine brighter than ever!
