The Amazing Universe

We have been having amazing synchronistic events happen around the creation of our television show.  We have connected with a person who did the digital movie music for the film Avatar.  He wants to be part of our team!  We have invited Dev Ross to help us with the comedy aspect of our program.  She is an Emmy award winning writer of  Winnie the Pooh for children’s daytime television.  We want people to laugh and feel joyful during our show.

We have also connected with a concert organizer and metaphysical conference director named Chris Thomas.  When we finished talking about the Avatar movie person, moments later, I got a Twitter alert from Zoe Saldana, one of the the stars of Avatar.  I have never tweeted, only signed up.  Something magic is going on!

As I have said before, I don’t know where all of this is leading us.  I have surrendered to the Universe about this. I am sharing this with you folks, not to name drop or in any way brag about this unfolding.  I want everyone to create their dreams.  I want every sentient being on planet Earth to live in joy, love and abundance.

I want this show to be very profitable.  I want it to create prosperity for everyone involved.  Mostly, I want there to be lots of money to be created so that we can give most of it away.  Poverty on our planet is tragic!  Poverty creates wars and destroy the natural habitats of our beautiful planet.  I want us all to work together and find a way to bring shelter, food, good health and joyful living for all beings.

When something happens like this possible television show, it creates hope for all of us.  There is the possibility for each of us to create our lives in a whole new way.  A way that will serve us all.  I encourage you all to live your wildest dreams! From my excited heart to yours, Thomas

Kindness is Forever

Lou Ann and I were watching another romantic Hallmark Christmas movie just now.  Yes, they even have them in July, which I absolutely love!  The story line is about a young woman doctor who is very successful in a hospital in Los Angeles.  She is depicted like most physicians in this series.  Overworked and little time for any other kind of life experience.

She finally gets a short Christmas vacation and heads home to be with her family.  Her dad is a family physician who has had a practice in their small town for decades.  At one point in the film, she shares with her dad why she chose the medical profession.  She had a boyfriend whose mother was dying.  The mother was naturally scared about her life.  Her father told the woman that he would be right there with her, all the way through her illness.  She told her father how kind he was to that woman.  She decided she wanted a life where she could provide that kind of care.

There is another scene in the movie where an elderly lady shares her philosophy of life.  She said being kind can be a wonderful moment.  She said being kind can make someone’s day.  Being kind can make someone’s life.

Kindness can look like this:  A kind word, a smile, opening a door, or helping carry a heavy load can all be acts of kindness. Celebrating someone you love, giving honest compliments, sending an email thanking someone, telling someone how s/he is special to you, helping an elderly neighbor with yard work or food, taking a photo of someone and sending it to the person, sharing homemade food, refusing to gossip and donating old clothing and things you don’t need are all ideas about how to practice kindness.

I am blessed to be living with one of the most kind persons, that I have ever met.  Lou Ann lives from her heart, the place where kindness dwells.  Let us all make an even greater commitment to be as kind as we can be.  Our world will never be the same if we do so!  From my kind heart to yours, Thomas

Best Friends

In 1997, Lou Ann and I and our film crew went to an animal sanctuary in Kanab Utah.  It is called Best Friends.  We filmed some segments around the sanctuary.  At the time, they had rescued some 1500 animals of many different species.  It was one of our favorite segments for our television show we were creating back then. On Facebook today, I saw a wonderful story about a man who created another animal sanctuary named Barn Sanctuary.  Here is a description:

Mission

Barn Sanctuary provides shelter to horses, cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, sheep, goats, and rabbits who have been rescued from cases of abuse, abandonment, and natural disasters.

We are a place where visitors can come face to face with the animals they may only know as dinner and learn about the devastating effects of modern-day farm factories on the animals, the environment and human health. Here you can play with goats in a large open field, sit down with a pig who wants nothing more than a belly rub, cuddle with chickens who seek out your attention or get nuzzled by some very friendly sheep!

We’re a hands-on animal sanctuary dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and caring for animal refugees. We educate the general public about the horrific treatment of animals raised for food, and the positive impact that a plant-based diet can have on the environment and our health.

A lot of us have had pets that we could consider our best friends.  So many of them are so loving and respond to our love and care.  Lou Ann and I are watching a movie tonight about someone who inherits an African animal sanctuary.  I have an uncomfortable feeling about most zoos.  However, I love the idea of gathering animals on a reserve so that they can be free and safe to live in harmony with nature.
We plan to include new inspiring animal programs on our newest version of our TV show.  If you want to be involved, let us know. I encourage everyone to do all we can to make our planet safe and loving for all of it’s creatures.  From my hopeful heart to yours, Thomas

The Earth is on Fire!

There are probably a few ways our title could be understood.  Our planet seems to continue to have year after year of record temperatures.  Due to drastic climate change around the globe, there are actual fires erupting!  There are drastic drought conditions in many places.  So the forests are drying up and become a giant tinder box.  A most tragic statistic is that eighty four per cent of forest fires are human caused.  Where is Smokey the Bear when you need him?

I make light and I should not.  When we are unconscious about life we are often unaware of our actions.  So the majority of fires would not have happened if we were more awake about what we do.  Our flora and fauna suffer greatly because of our less than loving actions.  It is time to wake up and become people of action.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make every effort to stop climate change.  Go to cooleffect.org and read and share the information.  Their theme is carbon is the problem, action is our solution.

I know I have shared this before and I suppose I will keep on doing it!  It follows that the vegan diet, by eliminating dairy and egg, would reduce emissions the most, as confirmed by a subsequent study. Adopting a plant-based diet is, therefore, one of the most powerful choices an individual can make in mitigating environmental degradation and depletion of Earth’s natural resources.

Beyond contributing significantly to greenhouse gases that cause rising temperatures and sea levels, here’s what eating meat also does to our world: While almost 800 million people suffer from chronic undernourishment and insecure food supplies, 35% of grains worldwide are fed to livestock.

So, what keeps us from following a plant-based diet? It requires overcoming our habits and our tastes, learning new ways to cook, planning during travel, and navigating the social aspects of eating and meal sharing. However, when seen through the lens of the fate of Earth’s climate and resources, don’t these challenges all of a sudden seem minuscule?

It is rare that a single choice of ours can have a broad and decisive impact on the climate crisis. We have a moral imperative to choose and advocate for plant-based diets for the health of our planet and the well being and survival of generations to come.  The above three paragraphs were written by George C. Wang in a CNN Op Ed titled Go Vegan, Save the Planet.

Lou Ann and I have found it relatively easy to eat a Vegan diet while traveling and eating out.  Almost without exception, restaurants have served our needs.  Right now there are so many fires burning out of control and our brave firefighters are dying.  It is time to save our planet and put out the fires!  From my hopeful heart to yours, Thomas

Science of the Heart

The next two paragraphs are taken from the Heartmath.com website

Most of us have been taught in school that the heart is constantly responding to “orders” sent by the brain in the form of neural signals. However, it is not as commonly known that the heart actually sends more signals to the brain than the brain sends to the heart! Moreover, these heart signals have a significant effect on brain function – influencing emotional processing as well as higher cognitive faculties such as attention, perception, memory, and problem-solving. In other words, not only does the heart respond to the brain, but the brain continuously responds to the heart.

In the new field of neurocardiology, for example, scientists have discovered that the heart possesses its own intrinsic nervous system—a network of nerves so functionally sophisticated as to earn the description of a “heart brain.” Containing over 40,000 neurons, this “little brain” gives the heart the ability to independently sense, process information, make decisions, and even to demonstrate a type of learning and memory. In essence, it appears that the heart is truly an intelligent system.

In my life, it became clear to me that when I listened to my brain, there were limitations in my life experience.  However, when I felt what my heart was saying, a whole new universe seemed to open up to me.  We have been “educated” to use our mind and of course we could not be human without it.  The challenge is that our brain has parts that are limited in scope as to how they perform.  Now we are learning that the heart has an intelligence.  We can make decisions straight from the heart!

I love this! I have been telling folks “to follow their heart” most of my life.  It just felt natural to do so.  Now science is confirming that this is a powerful way to live life.  I am encouraging all of you to get Dr, Joe Dispenza’s book “Becoming Supernatural”.  All of this important information is in there.  More on this amazing book in subsequent blogs.  From my “intelligent heart to yours, Thomas

There is only Oneness, and Oneness chooses everything

Choices are just choices, events are just events.

We often find ourselves stating “we need something”, needing implies there is something missing, we lack something. There is nothing we need; there is only what we choose. The word need has baggage, the word choice is cleaner. We don’t need anything. We choose everything.

This is how we create our lives. We make them seem so real that we totally buy into the events. If we did not, we would realize that this is not real and we probably wouldn’t be here very long. Once we see that Oz is behind the curtain we may as well return to Kansas.

As players in the finite game of life, it is the things that could go wrong,  that keep us interested. In sports, it is the possibility of non success that keeps us interested. Think about it; if your team made every shot, scored every goal and won every game; you would soon lose interest. It’s the miss, the error, the strike out that keeps us coming back for more. It is the same with our lives. It is the mystery that keeps us in our skins time after time.

It is the unrequited love, the failed business venture, death of the body, a miscarriage of justice that has us hooked. If everything in your life experience was always juicy, you would soon lose your juice for life. And so it is. We intentionally limit ourselves in every conceivable way to make the game more entertaining.

Then for a lot of us, somewhere between the ages of 27 and 30, something stirs inside. Something tells us that life is not quite as it seems. There is a divine discontent present. For many, we make major changes, like getting a divorce, or moving, or starting a new business. We know that we want to make a change and create something new. In Astrology this is the time of the Saturn return. When the position of your natal Saturn comes full circle and triggers within you the feeling that something is up. This is a time to set yourself free!

We all have the ability to have our lives abundant, joyful, loving and free.  When we realize our divine nature and tune into our amazing power, then life becomes what our soul intended.  From my abundant heart to yours, Thomas

Peace on Earth

The planet Mars will be as big as the moon on July 27th.  This happens every 35,000 years.  You probably don’t recall the last time this occurred!  In Astrology, the planet Mars has a powerful energy.  Although Mars is always  seen as responsible for war, hurt, destruction, and fights, Mars is simply an unconscious animalistic nature we don’t give enough freedom to. Restrictions in our expression of energy will lead to inhibitions of all sorts and accumulation of anger and frustration below our surface, beyond the face we show to the world.

Mars represents our basic energy, our first chakra, and speaks of fears that tend to control our lives. If we are brave enough to live up to our full potential on planet Earth, Mars is the one to help us find our grounding, resolve any material and existential issues, and provide us with the energy we need to follow any of our plans and reach any goal we wish to.

We are in a time of a lot of Mars energy on our planet.  Millions of people have drawn lines in the sands of their lives.  We are in a time of opposition and adversary. This is the time for those of us that realize the more subtle energies present in life to be the peaceful center. We can balance the Mars energy with the Venus and Jupiter energy that is present on our planet.  Venus can bring us love and Jupiter will inspire us!

Let us do our best to be not “against” others.  Let us find a way to be “for” what we believe.  When we create a scenario of right and wrong, we all lose.  We lose our gentility, compassion, caring and civility for each other. I encourage us to find a quiet place and tune into the Oneness of everyone and everything.  When we hold each other high and celebrate our divinity we can move through this challenging Martian time.  From my peaceful heart to yours, Thomas

Let the Universe handle the details!

The Universe handles the details of our lives in accordance with the beliefs we hold in consciousness says my mentor Arnold Patent. Our core beliefs often supersede the Divine in how we live our lives. The sole purpose of that belief and all the others we have created, is to give us a life opposite to our natural state. As we open the energy that has been blocked due to our beliefs, we increase the flow of Divine Love into all aspects of our lives. We can then rest in the arms of the Divine and observe the details of our day and reflect the joy that the Love releases.

We think we are in control and we can figure it out.  Often, that is not the case. As limitless spiritual beings playing a limited game we cannot possibly know all the possibilities of our life experience.  It is good to take some time and go to a quiet place and just rest until the desire to do it all by our self passes by.

When we surrender to the magnificent beauty of who we are and let go, then the magic can happen.  Here is a message from Oneness: Dear human, you’ve got it all wrong.  You didn’t come here to master unconditional love. Unconditional love is where you came from and where you’ll return.

You came here to learn personal love. Universal love. Messy love. Sweaty love. Crazy love. Broken love. Whole love. Infused with Divinity. Lived through the grace of stumbling.  Demonstrated through the beauty of messing up. Often. You didn’t come here to be perfect. You already are.  You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous.  And then to rise again into remembering.

Relax, don’t try so hard.  There is nothing you need to do to be more Divine than you already are!  Go and gaze into a mirror and take a deep breath and then give yourself a wink! You’ve got this!  From my loving heart to yours, Thomas

True Abundance

Wherever we place our energy is what happens to us.  We are often unconscious about our creations.  Most people on our planet are in survival mode.  There are billions of us who do not know where the next meal is coming from.  There are many of us who are addicted to the chemical reactions in our physicality from stressful living.  It is a challenging time to be alive.  We have given our power over to our material creations.

The problem is that we believe we are our physical body and mind.  We fill them up with toxic food and thoughts.  We believe that our outer world is more real than our inner world.  It is because we spend nearly all of our time in our outer world and precious little on the inner.  We are mismanaging our lives based on our past.  It is almost impossible to change our world from this outer perspective.

Because we live in this false, old world reality, we spend much of our life energy in working, obtaining, selling, using and it wears us out.  It is time to change.  It is time to get in touch with who we really are.  One of the most powerful ways is to meditate.  When we meditate we find the true center of our being.  A center that has no limitations, has no time, no space and is the most powerful place to be.  In this place, we quiet the conscious mind and discover the ability to reduce the stress of planetary living.

Meditation leads to mindfulness. Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.  A simple technique is focusing on your breath.  Inhale through your nose and fill your belly and chest with oxygen to a comfortable count of 3.  Exhale through your mouth, releasing the air slowly feeling your stomach contract to a count of 5 or 6.  Modify it so it works best for you.

This is a way to accelerate our ability to create what we truly desire: love, peace, joy, caring, compassion and prosperity.  When we live from here, we are totally abundant.  Life will become a treasure and a pleasure.  From my abundant heart to yours, Thomas

Perseverance

Most of my life I have been a type B personality.   People with type A personality traits are aggressive, ambitious, controlling, highly competitive, preoccupied with status, workaholics, and lack patience. People with type B personality traits are relaxed, less stressed, flexible, emotional and expressive, and have a laid-back attitude.

I have accomplished a lot in my life and there is a lot I did not do.  A part of me is actually okay with my less than aggressive style.  Another part of me wishes I had been more assertive and ambitious.  Maybe you folks have that same dichotomy?  There are times when I am driven but not nearly as much as the times I am relaxed.  I have looked at folks who society says are successful.  In some ways, I have some regret for not doing as much as I could do.  However, society’s measure of success is no longer my goal.

And through it all there has been an inner perseverance.  Some part of me that has not quit.  Lou Ann, my divine partner and wife has a larger perseverance gene.  She does not often give up.  We have fun with this trait now. When I keep attempting to complete something and finally do so; I say that I am channeling the Lou Ann, ‘never quit’ DNA.  She has been such an inspiration to me!

I encourage myself and you folks to keep on going.  And do it at whatever pace your inner guidance allows.  It is possible that we incarnated here for a specific purpose.  Even if we have not connected with that purpose, it may be helpful to persevere.  Something inside of me lights up when I continue on and discover a way to finish a project.  Let us love ourselves unconditionally through our passage in this incarnation.  And know that whether we do it in an ambitious or relaxed way, our soul is okay with it!  From my relaxed heart to yours, Thomas
