Hey it’s good to be back home again!
Day four from Albuquerque to Sedona. Breakfast at Marriott included flavored Silk Almond milk. We stopped for lunch in Flagstaff and the Whole Foods had Vegan cheese pizza for the first time of which I’m aware. It is great to have more healthy choices. We drove home and took eight hours to get here. Then we pulled up and unloaded the Highlander of all the luggage. Then we unloaded the 4 by 8 trailer which was full of boxes and paintings. Then we came in and put everything away in the kitchen. We have guests tonight at our home. I think Lou Ann and I combined make a mini-Hulk. I am the brawn and she is the brains. She has strength of character and I have strength of body.
We love traveling together. We laugh and play and sing and eat. Lou Ann takes such good care of my as I do most of the driving. She makes sure we stay on course and schedule. We listen to NPR when we can. We listened to audio books this trip. Lou Ann takes most of the pictures. We both interact with merchants and other travelers along the way. It is such a joy to spend everyday of my life with her.
Here are a couple of lines of a corny song I wrote about us from a musical we produced. How could I be so fortunate? What wonderful deed did I do? Where did I earn this reward, this prize of loving you? Did I save you from the clutches of Genghis Khan and carry you across desert sands? I must have been the most wonderful man; because now I am holding your hand. This is who I am, this is what I see. She’s the only person that sees as I can see. This is who I am, this is what I see. Her love gives me the strength to be all that I can be! I wish for all of you to have someone in your life like my amazing life partner. You may not be married to them but they are the person who lights up when you come in a room. You would do anything for each other. You will be there for each other no matter what. From my grateful heart to yours, Thomas
