Saving the Earth
As you can see, if you follow this blog, that this is a recurring theme. Lou Ann and I went to our local, monthly Inspiration of Sedona meeting tonight. There were a couple of short films. One on small farming and the other on composting. Both of these activities are vital to the survival of our planet! I know I am often hyperbolic about this subject. If you check out information about climate change, you too may become as fervent an advocate as Lou Ann and I are. The first film is titled Small-Scale Farmers Cool the Planet. The theme is about how small scale farming is combating climate change through regenerative organic agriculture, and reversing global warming. We all can help by home gardening, including composting. The second film titled SOS-Save Our Soil, which is done by restoring the top soil of our land.
There is also a book which I highly recommend, titled Drawdown: “The most comprehensive plan ever proposed to reverse global warming.” It is a book which should be in every home. You and your family can do many of the suggestions in the book, written brilliantly by author Paul Hawken. Many are simple and inexpensive and together we can all make a huge difference in creating the healthy Earth most would love to live in.
Also attending the meeting was Darcy Hitchcock who is the founder of the Sustainability Alliance. They have a survey that anyone can take and see how sustainable you are living. Businesses can get a sustainability rating and use it as an advertising item that will let customers know that they care. If you are in the Sedona area; you can get your business on local TV by taking the survey of sustainability. You must complete the survey by the end of this month. We are going to California tomorrow to visit my brother and sister in law in San Diego. Then we will hang out with our grandson Ganapatiye in Los Angeles. Then on Sunday we will enjoy the football game on my birthday. I wish you all a marvelous weekend. Please help out Mother Nature and all the beings on planet Earth by getting involved in combating climate change. Your children and grandchildren will thank you for it! From my ecological heart to yours, Thomas
