Heal
No, I’m not talking to my dog! Lou Ann and I went to another showing of the movie titled “Heal”. It is a wonderful documentary about our own amazing ability to heal ourselves. The film was the winner at the Maui film festival and it was premiered at our own Illuminate Film Festival last June. The movie shows several patients who have mostly chronic diseases. A variety of experts are in the film to share what they have discovered about healing and how they use it. It is clear that stress is the number one killer on the planet. You can probably trace almost all forms of illness and disease to stress in some form. The challenge is that for most of us, we do not realize how much stress is occurring in our lives and the damaging and deadly accumulation of it.
HEAL takes us on a scientific and spiritual journey where we discover that our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions have a huge impact on our health and ability to heal. The latest science reveals that we are not victims of unchangeable genes, nor should we buy into a scary prognosis. The fact is, we have more control over our health and life, than we have been taught to believe. This film will empower you with a new understanding of the miraculous nature of the human body and the extraordinary healer within us all. Healing can be extremely complex and deeply personal, but it can also happen spontaneously in a moment.
At the movie tonight, we had one of the healing practitioners in the film share his expertise in person. His name is Dr. Jefferey Thompson and he is located in San Diego. Dr. Thompson uses sound to help you heal yourself. He discovered that the different levels of sound relate to different parts of the body and can be used specifically for that area. Everyone is different, so Dr. Thompson uses a system that measures each persons exact levels of energy. So each of us can get our own sounds that will help us heal! From my healing heart to yours, Thomsa
